| This 7/16″ x 100′ Solid braid nylon rope has a lock-stitch construction to keep it is shape and integrity beneath stress and sudden shock loading. Excellent for use with pulleys. Rope is likewise very flexible for easy knotting. Nylon is the firmest of all ropes, and when stretched, has a “memory” for returning to it is originals length. For this reason it is best for absorbing shock loads as is the case when lifting or towing. Nylon lasts four to five times longer than natural fibers because it has good abrasion resistance and is not damaged by oil or most chemicals. Like manila, nylon has good resistance to ultraviolet deterioration from sunlight (referred to as “UV stability”).

 good rope at good price

I purchased a roll in October for $67.00 with free shipping. A very good deal for very good quality rope. Ends burn nicely, easy to tie, lays down like nylon is supposed to do. Role spool was cheaply made however and falling apart right out of the box. Could have been a big mess and had to build a new plywood spool. Took time but didn’t bother me too much as the rope was such a good price compared to alternatives.
I go back online to order another role and see price has jumped to $98. Somewhat disappointed. Guess I wait till the other deal rolls back around, though even at the new price it is worth it–though they better make some improvements to the spool.

soft strong rope

What can you say about it? It’s rope and it works great.
- It’s very soft (a good characteristic of nylon rope)
- It’s strong (I’m not testing it’s max strength but it works for my needs)
- Ends burn nicely
- Knots hold well
- Resistance to mold
